FUN in the Finger Lakes

Waterfalls & Parks
- Watkins Glen Gorge. The #1 attraction in the Southern Finger Lakes, the world-famous gorge features 19 waterfalls along a 1 1/2 mile well-maintained trail with 832 steps from the bottom to the top. Located in the heart of Watkins Glen.
- Taughannock Falls - The highest single-cascading waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains, located near Trumansburg.
- Buttermilk Falls - A multi-cascading waterfall just south of Ithaca.
- Robert Treman State Park - Waterfalls that form a natural "swimming hole" help beat the summer heat. A few miles south of Ithaca.
- Chequaga Falls - Waterfalls at the end of main street in Montour Falls.
- Eagle Cliff Falls - A waterfall located in the Havana Glen municipal park just south of Montour Falls.
Wineries & Vineyards
The beautiful, deep Finger Lakes create an ideal environment for growing grapes. There are more than 50 vineyards and wineries within an hour of the campground. These wineries are better associated with the lake they are near rather than the town. Some of the more prominent wineries include:
Museums
- Corning Museum of Glass - Home to the world's most comprehensive and celebrated collection of glass, as well as the Hot Glass Show, a live, narrated demonstration of hot glassblowing offered all day ($).
- Wings of Eagles Discovery Center - The museum collects, maintains, exhibits and flies vintage and historical military aircraft, even offering rides to the public ($).
- Rockwell Museum of Western Art - This museum, known as "The best of the West in the East!", features American Western and Native American art ($).
- National Soaring Museum - A museum of "engineless" flight, you can also take a ride in a glider ($).
- Glenn Curtiss Museum - A museum celebrating the accomplishments of Glenn Curtiss, "father of naval aviation" and prolific inventor ($).
Other Attractions
- Watkins Glen International - America's original road course, WGI today hosts a NASCAR Sprint Cup race in August. The "Thunder Road Tour" is a session where you can drive your own vehicle on the racetrack (RVs not allowed).
- Captain Bill's Seneca Lakes Cruises - Both sightseeing and dinner cruises sail from Watkins Glen from May through October.
- Fishing on Seneca Lake - Boat rentals & charters as well as boat launches for your own boat are available.
- Hiking - The Finger Lakes Trail & Finger Lakes National Forest offer the best.
